“Lifestyles of Event Planners for the Rich and Famous”

In this episode, we’re going glitzy, like the TV show, “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” but WorkplaceStory style. An event planner on the California coast will share experiences about hard work behind the glamour, times when plans fall apart right before an event, and when a local meeting planner wants to change up the whole menu the morning of a banquet.

Employment advice for others in these jobs and careers:

Kathy found that plain hard work and resourcefulness helped her get through times when plans fell apart. And talking people down with a positive tone was the best thing to do when the goose-liver pate hit the fan. She still plans events and now hopes to mentor others more.
